Karen Campbell
In case we haven't met yet, my name is Karen Campbell. I'm the Founder of Awesome Art School. For nearly a decade, I've been a full-time multi-media artist, instructor, and author of 19 art instructional books!
My philosophy towards teaching drawing and mixed media (and the reason why my students are so successful!) is based on the fact that I believe people LEARN BEST when they are SO busy having fun they don't even realize the strides they are making.
As such, FUN is built right into my curriculum making it incredibly easy and fast for students to advance.
Through my popular books, 3 Art Clubs at Awesome Art School, and two YouTube channels that host over 550 free art tutorials, I have positively impacted the lives of tens of thousands budding artists worldwide who want to learn and LOVE creating.
Originally a Boston area native, I currently live near Raleigh with my computer-geek husband, 3 teens, and 3 fur babies!
Lucy Brydon
Hi, I'm Lucy! You may know me from my online art school, Lucy's Art Lab, YouTube, or the beautiful paintings I sell in art auctions online and in person, or from the adorable gift cards and prints I sell in local shops around Aberdeen.
I taught for 15 years as a primary school art specialist before venturing off to make and sell my art full-time.
I've taught adults both online and in-person for 10 years and specialize in watercolor and gouache.
My artwork is inspired by Scottish folklore, fairy tales, nature, and illustrations. I live in Scotland surrounded by ancient magical forests and ruined castles and with my adorable and gentle greyhoud, Miso.
I met Karen online around 2015 and in person (on a Scottish Art Retreat) in 2017. We've been fast friends ever since! We published an book together, Magical Mythical Creatures, co-teach in the Celtic Collective fantasy art club, and co-host the hilarious podcast 1 Scot 1 Not.

Do I need any art experience?
Nope! The Celtic Collective is made for everyone, regardless of skill level. You’ll develop a full skill set as you go through the Celtic Collective Quickies. Just bring your passion for learning, your sense of FUN, and you'll do GREAT!
Do I need lots of supplies?
No. We use a select group of supplies over and over in different ways. We'll show ya exactly what we love and use everyday - plus we often share a variety of links to art supplies (like watercolors) so you can choose if you'd like to spend a little, a medium amount, or splurge! You could honestly do every lesson in pencil if you wanted to, and are always welcome to use what YOU love most and already have on hand!
